The whole reason why this award was created was for members like you. It can be hard to balance roleplay, socializing and contribute to our forum with constructive criticism, but somehow you manage it all well. Even without a staffer position, you are consistent with your contributions towards bettering the site and even though many are turned down, you keep up the effort. We can do nothing but congratulate you, Chris, and thank-you for being a wonderful asset in our community! Keep it up!
Newbie of the Month has been awarded to Drake! Ever since his arrival, Drake has been wonderfully helpful towards the site. Not only has he been responsible for the large influx of members we've recently received, but he's now responsible for handling the forum's Public Relations as US' very first PR. We hope you continue with your top notch work, Apu.
Character of the Month goes to Eleytheria - Uchiha, Persephone or just Persy for short. The Raikage has been an essential piece to Kumogakure's activity boost and with her character managing to somehow involve herself in all the topics within the village, there's no better person to award this to.
Topic of the Month goes to the Spring Festival! With the large boost in activity for Kumogakure, the Raikage has been kind enough to bring all of her loyal ninja together in order for the teams to come into fruition. This topic not only showcases the wonderful activity within Kumogakure but also the unique and amazing roleplaying talent each member possesses. Job well done to all who participated!
Staffer of the Month goes to Enzo... again! Thanks to the Russian, we've been able to update the Encyclopedia, the Genjutsu Guide and he's continuing work by updating the Clans as well. Uros has been a huge asset to the US Staff Team and we hope he continues his excellent moderating that he performs as a daily routine.

The day was dull, something that was almost never to happen given the population of the village. The usual frantic shoppers have disappeared, the creepy people in the alleys not there anymore, it was really weird. As usual, Kazuuhiko was riding his large turtle, his main transportation. As far as kame was concerned, he didn’t seem to mind carrying his owner around, almost seemed happy enough to do it. Just like his first experience today, the place was fairly empty. Sure there were people out, but not like the norm. After a while of searching the village which took about an hour on his turtle, He remembered what he was going to do the other day. What he wanted to do was train and learn a new jutus, a jutsu that is rather low ranked so it’s fairly well known. As well known as it may be by the ration users, one still needed to practice enough to successfully complete the jutsu.
”Hmmm I guess training for that jutsu would be as good as ever.”
He said and made his way to the training grounds. The boy enjoyed the scenery on his way there, it was rather nice to just relax before practicing for a jutsu. On the way there, he passed the memorial site and the hospital, in which he secretly hopes to end up some day. Though ninjutsu is his main interest, medical practice seems interesting and a very useful skill a shinobi could have. Eventually he arrived at the training grounds, unlike the rest of the village; the place was populated by a lot of genin. ”Guess ill have to find a rather under populated zone.” he thought and kept moving.
”Oh here's one.”
He said finding an area close by with only 2 other genin that were sparing with one another. He pretty much ignored them and went back towards the back. The area is over all a plain with a few tree’s towards the back where he was going to be.

Being in the back made him a little less known to the others around the place, which made it better for him to release the distractions in his mind and focus on the task ahead. Now to him, the first step would be to learn the hand signs that go along with this technique. Seeing how common the jutsu is, the kid already knows the few signs that it takes to use the jutsu. He took a deep breath, his turtle laying a few feet behind him. The breath helped him calm any unsettled anxiety that would come from trying something new for the first time, being it is his first time trying a Raiton or lightning style jutsu. He took a few more breaths for good measure and then started the small string of hand signs. He focused chakra in with them so it would work, once done though, things didn’t go the way he wanted. Nothing happened.
”Hm… what did I do wrong?”
He said to himself and looked around for some water, preferably a stream. Water conducts electricity and lightning, so maybe the effects would be more prominent in water. It took a few minutes but there was a small stream over near the other trainers in the area. They seemed to be all in the stream, scaring away fish, but what better to show effects than water and people. He tried again, and placed his hand on the water. A small jolt perked outm he gazed to the other genin, again nothing happened. ”I suppose it’s only cause im new, gotta keep at it, hopfully only a few more times will do it.” He thought.
